Reminder that if you haven’t renewed your annual membership, please due it as your card has expired. You can mail it to: Susan Helmann, VFW Auxiliary Treasurer at 17616 30th Ave Ct E. Tacoma, WA 98446or drop it off at the post and put it in the Treasurers box.
Our Auxiliary has a Cancer Assistance Hospital Plan known as "CAHP”which all annual members get when they pay their annual dues. If you are a Life member you would need to pay $4.00 by December 31, 2023to be covered for 2024. If you have questions regarding this, please contact Sue Helmann at 253-375-7312.
If anyone knows of any Veteran or family member that may need some help, please contact one of our officers.
The spring bazaar has been cancelled.
Just a reminder that the Auxiliary cook’s dinner on the last Friday of every month. This is done by all volunteers, both cooks and our servers, and the profit helps us do the things we need to do to help our Veterans, Active Military and their families. Come and enjoy a home cooked meal. This month we will be having Seasoned Pork chops, herb roasted potatoes, brown sugar carrots, salad and a roll.
Volunteers needed: If anyone is willing to help with any of our functions, please contact one of the officers. We are in desperate need of help with everything we do. We won’t be able to continue withoutyou.

Hello this is Dolores AKA Mama D from the chaplain’s corner. Please continue to pray for our veterans that are deployed, those still POW’s and those that are homeless and in need of help. Valentine’s Day, February 14th, go without a Star Bucks coffee or drink or a McDonalds meal, instead please keep in mind those in rehabilitation facilities and with that money go to the dollar store and purchase valentines cards, 2 for $1.00, sign them and swing by any nursing home/rehabilitation center and drop off the cards. Showing a little kindness and love to those residents goes a long way. Most of these residents can’t venture our or do they have family or friends that drop by. So, you go the extra mile to put a smile on their face, hope and faith in their hearts.
My number is 253-988-5419. If you know of any Post or Auxiliary member that’s in the hospital, home sick or needs someone to talk to, please feel free to call or text me. If you know of anyone who has passed please let me know. Also, if there is anything we as an auxiliary can do, please let us know. Thank you

There is a valentine raffle basket going on to help pay for needed club items. Please purchase your tickets from the bartenders. Cost is $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00
Come join us for the Superbowl Party on February 12th
Wednesday is Bar Bingo night.
Big Band plays the last Monday of the month. We recommend reservations for four or more which can be made by calling the club at 253-272-1405 between 4:00pm and 8:00pm.

Abate of Washington Tacoma Chapter is having their Anniversary/Valentines Party on February 11th at 6pm. This is a Pot Luck and there will be live music. Abate members $10.00, non members $15.00. Come join us for a fun time.
